Registered Clinical Counsellor & Registered Nurse

Amanda completed her nursing degree at the University of British Columbia in 1995 and her Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Victoria in 2004. Amanda is both a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Nurse so those who have extended health benefits may be able to receive coverage for counselling through their extended health care provider.

 

Amanda has significant training and education that guides her counselling approach including:  Family therapy, Trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT, Mindfulness Practice and working with Mental Health and Substance Use Issues.
